Sketch and Paul are joined by CabooseJr and Chad Bonin to discuss Toonami's final year on Cartoon Network and how it was reborn on Adult Swim.

Chad shares his memories from being at the very panel where Cartoon Network representatives announced that Toonami was cancelled and Paul shares his memories of the early Toonami Faithful movement in 2012.

Sketch also gives an overview of what was going on in the world of action animation during Toonami's absence from American television as well as touching on how fandom kept the spirit of Toonami alive.

In case you were wondering, yes we will have retrospectives for 2013 and 2014 along with the first few months of 2015.

The band is back together to discuss the Toonami crew starting a live streaming show and why it will not be the end of this podcast in any way. Though this is our very last episode on Podomatic as we will be moving to Soundcloud in March.

We also discuss the lastest episodes of KILL la KILL and InuYasha: The Final Act as well as what changes my occur to the Adult Swim Saturday schedule if Dragon Ball Z Kai's 8PM encores do exceedingly well.

Lastly, we have a chat with Bryce Papenbrook about his experience recording Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan, Blue Exorcist, Tenkai Knights and other series along with screaming in his car, breaking microphones and how he has avoided having another sweet potato fry incident.

Sketch is joined by Arthur Mesa, MacAttack and our video editor Matt to discuss Toonami in 2006 and 2007.

We regale the good times and the bad. The Month of Miyazaki, the rude-removal of IGPX, the arrival of Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh GX and Wulin Warriors, Hellboy, Marvel and Stan Lee original features, Toonami Jetstream, the end of 4Kids One Piece, a whole bunch of Naruto marathons, the 10th Anniversary and the beginning of the end of the block's days on The Cartoon Network.

Jenn fills in for Jim as we discuss the latest Toonami show announcement and continue recapping KILL la KILL and InuYasha: The Final Act. We finally let Darrel back on the main show after a few weeks off.

We decided the retrospective for 2006 and 2007 was too long to include in the episode this time so it will be posted as a separate podcast momentarily.

Darrell, Paul and Sketch shoot the breeze with Michelle Ruff and discuss her work on Sword Art Online II, Gurren Lagann, Bleach and Lupin the 3rd. Also Darrell gets what is coming to him.

February 11, 2015 05:22 PM PST

Sketch and Paul are all by their lonesome for most of the show as they recap KILL la KILL and InuYasha, discuss the usual news and read your commentary of what aired on Toonami this week.

Then in the retrospective Sketch is joined by Darrell, Soul, MacAttack, Kevin and Fabian to discuss the year of 2005. That's right six people in one recording, surprisingly enough they rarely talk over eachother.

Jason DeMarco chats with Sketch and Paul about the recent changes to Toonami. He details why they came about and why the Toonami crew feel a sleeker block is actually for the better and why having less hours will not hurt Toonami's plans or budget.

The conversation covers a range of topics including but not limited to the process of running Toonami and the various elements that go into it, why they cannot feasibly play every show's full opening, what merchandising potential there is for Toonami, how music is selected for Toonami, whether or not old favorites could make it onto the block and why Toonami promos going forward wont always use a narrator in the traditional Toonami fashion.

Oh... and there's some teases for what to expect from Intruder II and roughly when to expect it.

As always, thank you for listening. We hope you enjoy this exclusive interview.

Colt and Jenn join us to discuss the recent changes to Toonami. We vent our frustations and have a call to arms to keep Toonami on the air.

Then we're on to the recap of a pinacle episode of InuYasha and a brief news report for ratings and trending where we laugh at how poorly King of the Hill did direclty after Toonami on the week of the abrupt schedule change.

Finally, Steve Yurko returns to the show to discuss Toonami's move to Saturday prime time in 2004. Darrell and Duelist show up in the segment as well as we reminise about a year of big changes, give props to Justice League for using John Stewart for Green Lantern, discuss the fall of Gundam on US television, extrapolate the finer points of Teen Titans and The Jackie Chan Adventures, lament how badly Astroboy got screwed, come to terms with how underwelming Rave Master really was and collectively gush about Megas XLR.

We thought Toonami was just losing an hour, now we know it will be losing 3 hours. Needless to say, we are not pleased at this development. Paul and Sketch give their thoughts on this very recent development at the top of the show. This does make the following discussion about losing just the 5AM hour largely outdated but we kept it for retrospect.

Jenn and Duelist return this week and if you were looking forward to hearing Jim take the reigns again you're in luck. Due to technical difficulties, Sketch has to bow out in the middle of the show. However, to make up for not being available for the retrospective rundown of 2002 and 2003, Sketch recorded a separate discussion with Duelist and their mutual pal Soul. Given all three of them love the majority of 2003, expect a long conversation for that one.

By request we breeze over the recent Q&A which also has several answers that are already outdated and yes there is an InuYasha: The Final Act recap though we excuse Duelist from that because he's behind a few episodes.

There is also some lengthy listener mail including an audio mail which PhantomStar162 likes to refer to as a Toonami Transmission.

It's another nearly 3 hour show all together. Happy listening.

We are are joined by Tarzanuh to discuss an exciting new series coming to Toonami along with the usual news and the InuYasha Recap.

We give our thoughts and your thoughts on the upcoming series and speculate what show will have to leave to make room for another series on the schedule. As per usual we deviate to roughly related topics.

Later, Don East drops by for the Toonami 2001 retrospective to talk Outlaw Star, Dragon Ball, Gundam, Batman Beyond and more. It was truly a year of great highs and terrible lows.
